Dr. Jack Shier, M.D., Psychiatrist

Dr. Jack Shier is a double board-certified physician in Psychiatry and Addiction Medicine, specializing in the treatment of depression, anxiety, ADHD, and addictive disorders. Early in his career, he worked in a variety of clinical settings including emergency rooms, medical floors, inpatient hospitals, and community outpatient clinics. He has extensive training in medical/psychiatric assessments, psychopharmacology, and evidenced-based treatments for mental health disorders. In addition to his medical background, he is trained in psychodynamic, cognitive behavioral, and motivational therapy and uses a combination of these modalities to help his patients meet their goals. Dr. Shier is highly attentive to the needs of his patients and collaborates with a carefully selected team of staff and professionals at Shier Private Practice to set the standard of excellence in the community.
